The Accelerated Curriculum Enhancement (ACE) program has been running at Lyndhurst Secondary College for several years. The program provides opportunities for acceleration and enhancement for high ability students. Students are in the ACE program for all core subjects in both Years 7 & 8. Students are selected into the program after successful completion of the entrance exam.
In 2023 and 2024 the ACE program is undergoing a review with the aim of the introduction of an academy style ACE program for English, Mathematics and Science in 2025. More details about these exciting changes will be provided throughout 2024.
Since its introduction, there have been a number of developments in the college community that now mean a review of the current ACE structures and offerings should occur to ensure it is meeting its goals of providing genuine enhancement and acceleration opportunities for high ability students, whilst meeting the changing needs of the LSC learning community.
