Documents and Policies

In Victoria, all schools must meet the minimum standards for school registration. The minimum standards provide a foundation for quality schools through:

  • Good governance
  • Strong financial management
  • Effective Curriculum
  • Sound teaching practices
  • Safe environments for children

The following policies support us in these aims and in meeting the minimum standards.

Respectful, safe, engaged: shared expectations to support student behaviour

When schools, families and students work together, we achieve the best outcomes. These partnerships are essential to creating school environments that support all students to belong, learn and thrive.

At Lyndhurst Secondary College all students are expected to be respectful, safe, and engaged. These behaviours help make our school a place where everyone can achieve their best. Parents and carers play a vital role in helping our students understand and meet shared behaviour expectations.

By modelling and encouraging positive behaviour, parents and carers can help build the skills and habits students need to be successful at school.

The Department of Education’s Respectful, safe, engaged: shared expectations to support student behaviour statement can be seen on the department’s website. It outlines the shared expectations and how parents and carers can help.

Further information, resources and support are also available at Supporting positive behaviour in Victorian government schools.
