Inclusion

At Lyndhurst Secondary College we are committed to providing all students with the opportunity to engage in inclusive learning experiences. 2024 will see Lyndhurst Secondary College transition from the previous Program for Students with Disability (PSD) system for supporting students with additional needs to the Disability Inclusion model of support. This is an exciting time for schools as the Disability Inclusion model is a strengths-based approach to access support for students with additional needs and provides the opportunity for more students than ever before to receive the support they need to access the curriculum and experience success at the same level as other students.

Our classroom teaching staff work closely with our Learning Support Officers to engage and provide our students with additional needs all the support they require to access their learning within the classroom.

Our Inclusion Team also includes a number of Multicultural Education Aides to support our students from language backgrounds other than English to engage with their learning.
