Students at Lyndhurst Secondary College have been busy producing amazing creations for a competition hosted by Lynbrook Village.
Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre asked our students earlier this term to create a piece of art depicting ‘CULTURE’ – Incorporating Peace and the Environment in the form of an A3 image.
From the works submitted, up to 29 shortlisted pieces will be scanned and reproduced as large format corflute prints and displayed in Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre for a 6-week period where the local community are invited to vote for their favourite one.
The public will choose the first, second and third winners and all winners will receive a prize.
An evening presentation will take place later in May where guests will include local councillors, press, the College Principal and a number of teachers as well as families of our young artists.
Lynbrook Village Marketing Manager Melanie Brown has been working closely with our art department to bring this community project to life and has donated some fantastic art supplies to our school, for which we are extremely grateful.
There is an evening market at Lynbrook Village on Thursday 6th, April and plan is to have all artwork up on display by then; please make sure you pay a visit to your local shops to see the display and vote.
Some students who were available at recess today took advantage of the chance to publicize their work.
