This course is designed to introduce students enthusiastic and passionate about IT to network administration. The course covers IT hardware, operating systems and the fundamentals of network administration within the context of cyber security.
This course is offered at Chisholm Dandenong and Frankston on Wednesdays 8.30am-12.30pm.
Possible Career/Further Study Pathways
Possible employment outcomes include ICT technician or Network support officer.
Also provides a pathway to Certificate IV in Cyber Security, Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking/Certificate IV in Information Technology Support or Certificate IV in Information Technology.
Work Placement Requirements
80 hours recommended but not mandatory

This is a two year program.
Year 10 Maths and English required
Equipment/PPE: USB stick – 4 GB or larger.
For VCE students, this program does not have a study score, but does count as a ¾ sequence . Students may be eligible for an ATAR increment (10% of the lowest study score of the primary four studies) depending on the UOCs delivered by the TAFE provider.
