Triple P Free Parenting Program

Families can now access free expert parenting advice through the online Triple P – Positive Parenting Program.

The program is relevant to families with children between 2 and 16 years and provides strategies to deal with specific challenges, such as building children’s resilience and dealing with conflict.

There are courses specifically for parents of toddlers to tweens, and for parents of pre-teens to teens.

It gives parents strategies to:

  • raise happy, confident kids
  • manage misbehaviour so everyone in the family enjoys life more
  • set rules and routines that everyone respects and follows
  • encourage positive behaviour
  • take care of themselves as a parent
  • feel confident they’re doing the right thing.

Sign up to the Triple P program via their website.

VET classes are returning next week

VET classes are recommencing next week for students EXCEPT students attending Chisholm and Holmesglen

VET courses will recommence on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th next week for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 except for students who attend Chisholm and Holmesglen. If your course is delivered either at Chisholm or Holmesglen, please continue to follow existing remote learning procedures already in place.

Students who attend their VET at a school or at Skillinvest or Foundation Learning Centre need to be aware each location will have social distancing measures in place that you must follow. If you choose not to follow the measures that are in place, you will not be allowed on site. You should check your email to see what information related to your return has been sent to you by your VET provider.

Please note however that if you are unwell, you MUST NOT attend. Make sure if you are ill that you contact the VET provider you attend as well as letting Ms Fenech or Mrs Carroll know in Careers by phoning the school.

Remote learning will also stop for courses that are recommencing. Students are expected to attend classes unless they have a health reason which is supported by a letter from your doctor. If you have issues related to your health that are of concern to you, please ensure you contact the VET provider you attend as well as letting Ms Fenech or Mrs Carroll know in Careers. Students in these circumstances will continue to be supported in their VET learning.
