This course is offered at Narre Warren P-12 SC each Wednesday between 8:00am and 5:00pm (TBC). The Materials Charge is yet to be determined, but interested students must pay a materials fee of $270 on course counselling day.

Possible Career/Further Study Pathways

Completion of this course may lead to further study at TAFE or other tertiary institutes and/or employment opportunities in the industry.

Work Placement Requirements

Determined in consultation with teacher & the RTO but 40 hours is strongly recommended.

Special comments about delivery of the program

This course provides students with the practical skills and knowledge to record, mix and edit sound sources. Units 1 and 2 of the program include core units such as implementing copyright arrangements, performing basic sound editing and developing music industry knowledge. Elective units provide students with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as event staging support and recording.

For VCE students, a study score is available (allowing students to count this subject in their primary four subjects for the purposes of ATAR calculation).
