our Behaviour Purpose Statement
School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is a framework that promotes positive behaviours.
Lyndhurst Secondary College uses the framework by; modelling and teaching positive behaviours, explicitly and incidentally teaching expected behaviours, and rewarding students for using our College values of Commitment, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
Lyndhurst Secondary College has created an SWPBS committee, which meets on a regular basis, to implement the above framework, collect student data, identify areas of need and create a plan to teach appropriate behaviours within the school. The school community, including all staff, students and parents, created the following behaviour purpose statement:
At Lyndhurst Secondary College, we believe that all students should be encouraged to act with integrity whilst pursuing excellence. We are committed to ensuring that students remain safe and respectful citizens when actively engaging with all members of the College community. Our purpose is to empower students by helping them develop the skills necessary for success in learning and life.
This is used as a guide when making decisions based on teaching and managing student behaviours at the College.
