Open Night 2017
Our Open Night at Lyndhurst Secondary College took place on Wednesday March 15th.
We laid on a Sausage sizzle for those wanting to eat and supplied plenty of water and juice, although it was a very hot evening, our positive reputation continued to grow within the community as we welcomed visitors eager to find out about our school.
The Principal, Kondilo Prades addressed the families and prospective students warmly and with passion and pride. She talked about our increasing student performance, our growth and exceptional teaching and learning practices the students can expect to receive whilst here, as well as the inclusive opportunities available to everyone. Year 7 students shared experiences of their first few months at Lyndhurst and Catherine Blackburne, our Student Voice and Leadership Coordinator shared some amazing opportunities that are available for our students as well as our success stories from 2016.
Families were then able to have a look around the College as Student leader volunteers and Teachers led the way around our campus, demonstrating and displaying our fantastic work in areas such as Art, Science and Technology.
Our younger audience experienced our Gym facilities and played sports with supervising teachers, allowing their parents to move around the college focusing their attention on the quality of work we are producing here.
The atmosphere of the evening was welcoming, vibrant and encouraging; feedback from parents and children was very positive and we are excited about our potential enrolments for 2018.
