Lyndhurst student takes part in the Centenarian 100 Project
100 is an art exhibition profiling Melbourne’s Centenarians through portraits created by skilled young artists.
It is about bringing the community together through inter-generational interactions. Each Centenarian is partnered with a teenage artist from the local area.
Over several visits, the Centenarian and teenage artist share time together getting to know each and sketches are made, references are noted and photos are taken then a final portrait is created.
One of our very talented Year 11 students Alex Prachamon took part in this project visiting Ken during September and putting his ideas together. Alex’s final piece was completed and submitted for display at the beginning of October and now this amazing portrait of Ken, is on display at The Stables exhibition, Melbourne which runs from 4 - 17 October 2017.
