This VCE VET scored program provides you with foundation skills and knowledge to work in Allied Health industries under the supervision of a qualified Allied Health professional. Students are required to attend a compulsory information session. This course has a compulsory work placement component.

This course is offered at Chisholm Berwick and Frankston on Wednesdays 8.30am-12.30pm and 1-5pm.

Possible Career/Further Study Pathways

Completion of this course may lead to further study at TAFE or other tertiary institutes in health areas including: Health Support Services Attendant and Allied Health Assistant.

Work Placement Requirements

Mandatory 80 hours of paid or voluntary work within the health / community care industry.

Special comments about delivery of the program

This course is designed to introduce students to wide range of work areas within the health industry. Students completing the program will have the skills and knowledge required to work in an entry-level role within a range of areas depending on the electives and focus of the program undertaken.

For VCE students, this program is scored. This course may be counted in the student’s primary four studies for ATAR calculation.
