Please note there are strict application requirements including: completion of Year 10 and evidence of current tetanus vaccination. Students also require a suitable electronic device.

This course is offered at Foundation Learning Centre, Narre Warren (walking distance from Narre Warren Station) on Wednesdays 9am-3pm for 1st year and Fridays 9am-3pm for 2nd year students and

Kooweerup Secondary College on Fridays (transport provided)

Possible Career/Further Study Pathways

May lead to further study at TAFE or other tertiary institutions or traineeship/ apprenticeship. It may also provide entry level employment qualifications in animal rescue centres, pet retail shops, welfare organisations and veterinary clinics.

Work Placement Requirements

To be determined in consultation with teacher and the RTO next year, probably a minimum of 10 days per year.

Special comments about delivery of the program

For VCE students, this course is not scored. It does qualify for 3/4 sequence and students are eligible to gain an ATAR increment (10% of the lowest study score of the primary four studies)
