Delivery and Cost Details

Delivered via Box Hill TAFE at either their Box Hill or City campuses. Please note there are strict application requirements including: completion of Year 10, evidence of current tetanus vaccination evidence of having already completed a minimum of 2 weeks animal related work experience with an employer.
At the time of publication, VETiS Materials Charges have not been determined. A materials fee of $605 will be required to be paid on course counselling. Once materials fees are known, parents will either be reimbursed if overcharged or invoiced for outstanding fees.
Possible Career/Further Study Pathways
May lead to further study at TAFE or other tertiary institutions or traineeship/ apprenticeship. It may also provide entry level employment qualifications in animal rescue centres, pet retail shops, welfare organisations and veterinary clinics.
Work Placement Requirements
To be determined in consultation with teacher and the RTO next year, probably a minimum of 10 days per year.
Special comments about delivery of the program
Current students have chosen to study this course at Box Hill’s City campus which is a short walking distance from Flinders Street Station. For VCE students, this course contributes at Year 11 only and does not contribute towards the ATAR.
